The Kenai Peninsula Woodturners is a group formed to promote woodturning on the Kenai Peninsula of Alaska. We provide a meeting place, promote fellowship among our members, and provide training, share ideas, resources and techniques regarding this craft. At our general monthly meetings, we offer help to our members in tool sharpening and hands-on lathe techniques. Many of our members will be demonstrating turning techniques or projects. We meet at 1pm on the second Saturday of each month at Paul Johnson's shop on the Sterling Hwy, south of Soldotna, alternatively, we can meet at the woodshop area of the Workforce Development Center/Kenai Central High School. The building is located behind the High School, best accessed from Lawton St.. For interactive maps to both locations, see the maps on the About Us tab.
